Magic Bullet
No one likes taking that gross tasting medicine when they are sick, especially little kids, but what if you didn’t think about it as taking medicine? What if it was magic bullets that you take to help your body fight the epic battle against the bad bacteria. (Now I have your attention, right?) Magic Bullet is a science exhibit that was designed to create an educational experience for children and their parents. The illustrations are fun and friendly to hold the attention of the children while explaining how medicine works in their bodies. The explanations are more informative for the parents, with the key works in color making the important terms stand out for the children.
With the youthful audience in mind, I also created an animation to expand on how antibiotics work. The animation contains some of the illustrations from the panels along with a voice over and sound effects that explain the effects of antibiotics on the body.
